Mo Yong	모용	Minho	A traveling merchant who mainly sells through the states of the future Korean empire, but he does move up to China, which had been under The Eastern Han Dynasty, and was good for business since they were going through and industrial revolution of their own with the discovery of paper. Basically, if you have cash, Yong will get it done. He’s done a lot of terrible things to survive, and at some point he is expecting his karma to come back to him.
Heo Hyun-Ki	혀현기	Hyunjin	HyunKi is the third daughter from an aristocratic family, she is fleeing her betrothed that was set up for her by a local matchmaker. She doesn’t love him, and he is violent, so she sought out Il-Seong as he is one of the more well-known matchmakers.
Nam Il-Seong	남일성	Felix	Il-Seong is a matchmaker from a town over, he has made a name for himself because he always chooses the perfect spouse for the woman assigned to him. It is said that he finds your soulmate, when it’s more he matches people’s personalities.
Maeng GunWoo	맹건우	Seungmin	A son of a wealthy aristocrat, and childhood friends with HyunKi. He is Il-Seong’s sponsor, since he saw something in the man when they first met during schooling. GunWoo is fleeing a marriage of his own, since he is actually in love with a mutual friend of theirs.

Mok Sori	목소리	Minho	The daughter of the Empress Dowager, and a name long forgotten to history. She is a beautiful and kind woman, who reads in the library because it is the only place she can actually go. Her mother is eager to get her out of the palace and wed to a man of high status, which Sori is dreading. All of her servants call her Unnie in private, because she forbids them from speaking formally when they’re alone. When SukJa passes away, she becomes extremely despondent and can no longer function normally.
Chu Suk-Ja	추석자	Jeongin	The youngest of Sori’s personal servants, and had been recently instated after her schooling finished. She is the one closest to Sori despite their age gap and the length of time they’ve known each other. If you have something to tell Sori, it is better to tell SukJa since she is the only one Sori trusts with getting sensitive information. Think of them as extensions of each other. She passes because a man of higher status proposed to her, and she could not decline without putting her family at risk. She moves out of the palace, and exchanges letters with Sori before her husband kills her. (He thought her letters to Sori were love letters to another man.)
Gwok Chun	궉춘	Jisung	The second longest standing servant, behind Haebaragi, who mainly takes care of lessons and tutoring. She goes underneath a pseudonym to post writing, and to offer lessons to others through post. She and Sori are close, but once were separated when Sori’s mother caught her snooping around under Sori’s orders. The relationship suffered a litt bit, but Chun is still loyal to her, and stays with her when she gets married.
Dae Haebaragi	대해바라기	Changbin	The longest standing servant, despite the fact they are only a year apart in age. While Haebaragi tries to keep a composed and calm persona during work, all of them know that she has a temper and is loud. (They love her dearly because of this, because she is the mood maker most nights.) While getting married herself, she is with Sori when she gets married, and watches over her the rest of their lives, and takes care of her when DaeSeong passes, as she stopped taking care of herself. Known for her rapid speech, and discipline of the younger servants when they mess up.
Bo Dae-Seong	보대성	Chan	The eldest son of the Bo bureaucratic family, and Sori’s betrothed. While Sori and DaeSeong get along, they weren’t really a harmonious couple, since Sori hadn’t wanted to get married. They were amicable, but never had children. DaeSeong dies during travel for diplomatic reasons.

Eo Tae-Yang	의태양	Minho	The third life of Mo Yong, lives in the chaotic year of 668, settled in Pyongyang. He’s a 19 year old fisherman who brings in most of the fish for his smaller village, and most of his free time is spent with the urchins and his mother. Tae Yang woke to his house embroiled in flames and smoke, and is attacked by a Chinese soldier.
Eo Hyo-Sonn	의휴손	Seungmin	A military wife, trying her best to take care of Tae Yang while she is alone. Her husband barely sends any of his military salary to the home, so she sells clothing she makes in home. (She’s a boss ass bitch and taught herself do archery so she can catch food when money is tight.)
Na When-Yeong	나훤영	Chan	Tae-Yang’s best friend, who he’s known since infancy. He lives with Tae-Yang and Hyo-Sonn in Hyun-Min’s (husband and father) absence. He is quite smart and quirky, and the only person Tae Yang can actually be himself around.
U Eun	우은	Hyunjin	A local merchant who visits Hyo Sonn regularly because they are very close friends. (No euphemism.) Most of the others in town believe that they are having an affair, when in truth, Eun is gay and Hyo-Sonn can be comfortable drinking around him. Tae-Yang views him like an uncle.
Ha Bi-Neul	하비늘	Jeongin	One of the semi-homeless children that Tae-Yang takes care of. They are very close since Bi-Neul spends most of her days outside of her own home because of her abusive family. The two of them have a special relationship that isn't explainable to a lot of the townsfolk around them, he loves her like a sister, and she loves him like he is the only family she will ever have. She and Tae-Yang die during the Siege of Pyongyang done by the Chinese emperor of the time.

Yeo Ha-Jun	여하준	Minho	The eldest brother of the Yeo family, and runs the armory, and exclusively working with guilds for sponsorships, which means they get a lot of work. HaJun is known as an upright man, and is well-liked by all of the other locals. One of the more eligible bachelors but is so dedicated to his family business and disinterested in romance that finding him a wife is a lost cause. He dies protecting his sister from a serial killer in town.
Yeo Sa-Ja	여사자	Chan	The younger sister of the Yeo family, and is treated like a baby by all of her elder family members. She wishes she could be older so she wouldn’t be treated the way she is, but she appreciates the efforts to let her be her own age. She is still quite more mature than her peers since she and HaJun lost their parents when they were very young. They have been raised by their uncles, so she is quite tomboyish when at home, but she tries to be feminine when with peers. She gets advice from local Unnies and Eommas on how to dress.
Yeo Seong-Min	여성민	Jisung	The eldest of the first generation, and the one who really keeps things rolling. He overworks and hides it from them because he doesn’t want them to feel bad, because he’s trying not to repeat his own childhood of semi-neglect. He is the one who keeps stories of their parents alive in the home, even if telling the stories about them hurts him.
Yeo Ji	여지	Tiger JK	The youngest of the first generation, a charming young man who seems to flirt with everyone and doesn't put his emotions into his actions. People think he is playing with everyone when he is doing everything he can to keep his family clean, to protect them behind the scenes especially as gossip about Ha-Jun grows the older he gets. A family man through and through.

Pak Jeong-Hui	박정희	Minho	The fifth life of Mo Yong, is Jeong Hui, a court scribe during the Three Kingdoms. He is one of the assistants to the empress dowager’s court, and he was able to reach this position because a family friend trained him because of his early literacy and fervent love for any scrolls he could get his hands on. Jeong Hui mainly works with the court scholars, and is considered the prodigy among the palace staff. He is also quite beautiful, like his name suggests, and a lot of outside messengers misidentify him as a female assistant.
Seo Si-Woo	서시우	Hyunjin	One of the court scholars who works over Jeong Hui, and he decided to adopt him into his family after working together for about a year. Si Woo doesn’t plan to marry, and all he has left of his family is his eldest sister Byeol. Their family passed when they were young, and they worked hard to get where they are. (Siwoo and Jeonghui fodder a hidden love, and they stay together until death.)
Yeo Seong-Min	여성민	Jisung	The eldest of the first generation, and the one who really keeps things rolling. Kwak Byeol	곽별	Seungmin	A widow, whose only child passed before reaching the age of ten. She is emotionally numb and usually tries to avoid getting to know other people. Byeol doesn’t wish to remarry because she truly loved her husband. A kind and loving soul, she tries her best to keep the house together and appreciated Jeong-Hui's help around the house.
Kwak Bon Hwa	곽본화	Changbin	The brother of Byeol’s late husband, who moved in with them after his passing, to help them survive the day to day. He doesn’t tell either of them that he is in love with Byeol, and he wanted to help her raise Si Woo. (Byeol doesn’t tell him that she knows.)

Hwangbo Kyung-Hu	황보귱후	Minho	The sixth life of Mo Yong, a mother of three, and a sewing teacher. She is a part-time tailor for cash, so she will alter and fix garments on the side. Her husband works in town as a handy man, basically, he does a lot of contract work and is barely home. They met through mutual friends, Jun (the husband, who is the reincarnation of Keum Donghyun because I say so) is a kind of cold parent and partner. He cares but is terrible at saying it.
Hwanbgo Mee-Kyong	황보미굥	Jeongin	Kyung Hu’s second eldest child, and her most beloved daughter. They are quite close as the only women of the family, even though they have much different interests. Mee Kyong is the one who helps her out around the house, so Kyung Hu turns a blind eye to Mee Kyong using every cent of her pocket money to buy textbooks and other scientific books. (She even slips her some more when she gets tips.) She wants to be a scientist, as she is obsessed with biology, and Kyung Hu does everything in her power to fodder that love.
Hwangbo Su	황보수	Changbin	The eldest child, her first son, is currently in university. He wishes to become a doctor, so he works hard to get into scholarships so he can afford it. Feels the pressure of being the eldest and wishes he could do more but school takes up too much of his time.
Hwangbo Paenji	황보팬지	Felix	The youngest child, who was named because of his beauty. He feels a little lost as both of his siblings are so sure of what they are good at, and what they want to do. The age difference between them all is a lot larger so it makes him feel bad that his siblings have to take care of him. A sunshine child that is loved by all, but he feels like he is a burden.

Im Hana	임하나	Minho	The seventh life of Mo Yong, a teenage girl living closer to the demilitarized zone at the top of Korea. She is spunky and kind, usually keeping to a feminine and elegant persona during school hours, but when she’s with her friends she’s a tomboy who is a big sister figure. She is eldest of all of them, so older sister syndrome a little bit, she tries her best to take care of the younger ones that fell into their group. She has two brothers who are twins, and are still in a younger grade so they don’t share the same classroom.
Yoo Rung	유령	Jeongin	The youngest to join the group, she’s fifteen while Hana is 19. She accidentally joined the group after Hwi and Ha Neul saved her from being bullied. She half lives at Hana’s house because her family couldn’t care less where she is. Hana is the one who helped her buy a second uniform after Jimin ruined hers with paint. They actually met before the school year but they kept it a secret, because Rung thought Hana would be embarrassed of her.
Bi Soo-Hyun	비수현	Changbin	SooHyun is the second eldest, he is in the grade below Hana. He’s very quiet and kind, usually the one to offer emotional support and assistance. All of them go to him for advice, because he reads a lot of books. He has light freckles and short clipped hair, and he likes to sit and listen to the cicadas. He tries to share responsibility of their friend group, but he’s very disorganized outside of school.
Sam Ha-Neul	삼하늘	Felix	Sweet and kind, the one closest to Rung in age besides Hwi, by being the grade above. Technically a gyaru without the gyaru makeup, she’s loud and boisterous, and likes doing her hair in different ways. She likes pretty things and always tries to give Rung a makeover, not a permanent one, but HaNeul’s love language is making people look and feel good about themselves. She thinks Rung is cute as a button and wants to dress her up.
Ryong Eun-Ha	령은하	Jisung	Slightly-sheltered and quiet, Eun-Ha is in Soo-Hyun’s grade, but slightly younger. She is very awkward and has a stutter, and she looks up to Hana very much. She wants to be confident and believe in herself, but struggles with that because she transferred from Busan so she knows she doesn’t fit in. Hana adopted her immediately, and Eun-Ha struggles to keep up with her sometimes, but appreciates the effort in keeping her with them.
Wan Hyun-Seo	완현서	Hyunjin	Hyun-Seo is the only other boy of the group, what you would think of a Romcom Teen boy, not really perverted but awkward in the teen boy way. He’s loud, regularly has friendly spats with Hana, and ruffles the rest of their hair with a light-hearted laugh. He struggles with school, and feels dumb compared to the rest of them, but they love him dearly because he is really a mood maker. He cares about them deeply, not in the dumb way of “omg i must like u bc i feel platonic feelings” he views all of them like his sisters.
Muk Hwi	묵위	Seungmin	Rowdy, brash, and loud, Hwi is a flighty but loyal girl. She doesn’t stand for injustice, she is the one who got in-between Ji-Min and Rung. A lot of the teachers dislike her because of her lack of “feminine manners,” she is the one who usually gets physically affectionate back to Hyun-Seo. They arm wrestle and toss each other about, and the rest are convinced they work out together. Hwi is sometimes called a knight by their peers, bc she is quite gallant.
Han Min-Jee	한민지	Chan	Min-Jee is the middle child between everyone, and alone in her grade. The rest are either younger or older, so she is quiet. She is also awkward because she grew quite tall when she started puberty, so she is regarded as a tree most of the time. They all eat from the palm of her hand, bc they regard anything she says as vital and important. Very close with Hana, and they basically act like Rung is their daughter. (They’re lesbians your honor.)
